Phil convinced Ray to trade Phil as a hostage so that Chuck could be rushed to the hospital. Charlie overheard Phoebe and Tara arguing about Charlie’s not knowing his own father. Charlie accepted that Phil is his true dad, while Tara realized that her heart belongs to Phil, not Chuck. Wally begged Devon to keep the child once it’s born. Donna learned she is pregnant. Ray continued holding Phil, Dottie, and Edna until Joe exchanged them for escape money. Linc and Myrtle fretted about Kelly’s volatile moods. Ray was apprehended, and Phil and Tara confessed their love for each other. Chuck survived surgery but is partially paralyzed. Donna was upset to see Tara kiss Chuck, not knowing it was a farewell gesture. Jeff assured Chris that he didn’t expect perfection from her as her father had. Billy Clyde caught Lettie Jean selling Eddie pills to perpetuate Kelly’s habit. Russ asked Nancy out. Charlie reluctantly went home with Phil and Tara. Erica still hasn’t given up on her disco idea, and Brooke took more than a friendly look at Mark. Chris convinced a sulking Caroline to accept a dinner invitation with Frank, Russ, and Nancy. Chuck took a turn for the worse after Tara assured Donna that she and Phil reconciled. Erica lied to Tom about consulting Dr. Clayder regarding pregnancy tests. Frank was determined to help Kelly kick her habit, then she suspected Eddie and Claudette’s affair. Phil and Tara planned to reaffirm their marriage vows after she confessed about Chuck, but he neglected to mention his fling with Claudette. Benny “Valentined” Estelle. Erica consulted Linc about her disco project. Donna was upset when a delirious Chuck mistook her for Tara. Erica convinced Tom that she had seen one of Dr. Clayder’s assistants for a pregnancy test when he learned Clayder wasn’t in town. Billy Clyde’s temper flared when Estelle asked him for a divorce. Devon and Wally were alone in a blizzard and began having contractions. Danny questioned Brooke’s preoccupation with Mark and Ellen’s relationship. Kelly felt her world crumbling after Eddie answered her phone call to Claudette’s apartment. Wally delivered his an Devon’s baby girl, whom he doesn’t want to put up for adoption. Brooke played up to an uninterested Mark during a ski trip with Ellen and Dan. Chris wrapped Jeff around her little finger, impressing him to buy their own house. Mona was shocked that Erica is lining up disco investors who include Phoebe. Russ and Nancy dated. Billy Clyde and Edna joined forces to keep Estelle and Benny apart. Donna was haunted by Chuck’s delirious declaration of love for Tara. When his condition improved, he ordered Phoebe to begin accepting Donna as his wife.

Signaling Edna to splash hot chocolate on Ray Gardner’s face, Phil gets the jump on the crazed kidnapper and captures him. Chuck undergoes a delicate surgery to remove the bullet lodged near his spine. Believing he ruined Chuck’s life when he returned from Vietnam and married Tara, Phil plans to step out of the picture. Tara, finding Phil at the chapel in which they married themselves so many years ago, assures Phil he is the one she loves. With Chuck’s life out of danger, Charles tells Donna that Charlie is really Phil’s son. Chuck and Donna resolve to start their family anew, but Donna wonders if Chuck and Tara still care for each other. Phil learns Charlie knows that he is his father.
Although he now has a dangerous infection, Chuck delays his treatment so Charles won't postpone his medical trip to Europe. After Charles leaves Pine Valley, Chuck - now on the brink of death – is finally put on antibiotics. Phil and Tara decide to reconfirm their wedding vows by recreating their marriage at the chapel years ago. Kelly discovers Eddie and Claudette playing around. Mark and Ellen plan a ski weekend with Dan and Brooke. Mona warns Erica she must stop lying to Tom about her plans for the disco and about not being on the pill or her marriage will be ruined. Frank's blood pressure is on the rise because of Caroline's jealousy of Nancy. Both agreeing they're not interested in marriage, Russ and Nancy form a close friendship.
Mistaking Donna for Tara, a delirious Chuck reveals he loves Tara and considers his marriage to Donna a mistake. Ellen agrees to a ski weekend with Dan, Brooke and Mark if the girls share a bedroom separate from the guys. Erica wants to break up the ski trip so Mark’s mother will invest in her disco. Tom discovers Erica is covering up her disco plans and is lying about wanting to start a family. In a secluded cabin with Wally, Devon has contractions. Estelle asks for an annulment and Billy Clyde makes threats.
With only Wally to assist, Devon gives birth to a three-week premature baby girl. Although Wally believes they will keep the child, Devon still wants to give it up to adoption. Taking Estelle’s advice, Donna decides to stay with Chuck and say nothing about his love for Tara that he revealed while delirious. Myrtle is confused when Kelly buys two identical dresses. Unbeknownst to Ellen, Brooke sets her sights for Mark during a ski weekend with Dan, Mark and Ellen. Erica persuades Tom that it was Dr. Clayder’s gynecological assistant, Dr. Baker, she saw and that she forgot to tell Tom Dr. Clayder was out of town.

One Life to Live

Brad found Adam unconscious on his office floor. Things looked bleak for Viki as her trial got under way, but while under sodium pentathol she denied killing Marco. Edwina suspected Tina wasn’t telling all about her relationship with Marco. Lynn’s jealousy of Jenny and Peter’s relationship resurfaced. Peter had to remind Brad of Jenny’s birthday. Edwina refused to be bought off with Adam’s New York job offer. Karen still lived in fear that Viki would reveal Karen’s past prostitutional activites. Tina was forced to give the D.A. a motive for Viki killing Marco by admitting Tina and Marco were an item. Beverly testified that Tina planned to skip town with Marco. Gretel gave Brad a raise after he discovered Adam has epilepsy. Brad was hounded by loan shark Lou Cardoza. Karen slugged Edwina for her smear tactics. Karen paid a former John to help locate Katrina. Edwina supplied the D.A. with a surprise witness who turned out to be a dead ringer for “dead” Marco. Lynn went on a raving mad binge. D.A. Callison’s star witness turned out to be Mario Corelli, Marco’s twin brother. Edwina questioned Karen about her “modeling” job with Talbot. Greg asked Tina to marry him, but she said they weren’t ready. Dorian put up a reward for information on Marco’s killer. Pat made a plea for help on her TV show which Katrina heard but didn’t respond to. Dorian told Lynn that any affair between Jenny and Peter was in Lynn’s mind. The judge refused to admit Marco’s tapes of Viki’s threats as evidence. Sam and Tony put off marriage until after Viki’s trial. Mario played the judge tapes he received before Marco’s murder which contained threats from Viki. But Mario told Viki and Tina he didn’t think Viki was the murderer. Brad played matchmaker for Gretel and Paul Kendall. Karen caught up with Katrina, who told her about a P.O. box which contains trial evidence. Then Katrina was struck by a hit-and-run driver. Brad borrowed money from Will to hide the fact from Jenny that he’s in debt to loan sharks. Ed gave Carla the cold shoulder after realizing she was jealous that Jack dated his new secretary. Talbot was fretful about Katrina’s knowledge of Marco’s murder.

Under truth serum, Vicki nearly spills Karen’s past as a hooker to Larry. Although Viki remains herself under drug ---that does not necessarily prove Nikki Smith isn't hiding within her. Peter is unable to handle Melinda's jealousy of Jenny. As her trial gets under way, Vicki is losing ground in her fight to prove that she didn't kill Marco. Brad gives Peter a check so he can borrow money to buy Jenny a birthday present — but the check may be no good. Discovering Adam passed out on the floor, Brad realizes he is an epileptic. Samantha would rather not live in Tony's apartment above the restaurant, but he insists.
Mario, Marco's twin, is a surprise witness at Vicki's murder trial. Vicki wants to take the stand in her defense. An angry Karen slaps Edwina because of her biased coverage of Vicki's trial. Dorian tells Edwina she is painting herself into a corner and should realize what she is doing now may affect her for the rest of her life. Deep in gambling debts, Brad sells their stock to pay off. Adam offers Edwina a job in New York to get her out of town but she refuses. Edwina goes to the D.A. and tells him about Marco and Tina's friendship. Put on the witness stand, Tina falsely says she never planned to go away with Marco. Katrina is beaten up and raped by a drug dealer.
Shock waves go through Llanview as Marco's twin Dr. Mario Corelli takes the stand at Vicki's trial. Mario moves into Ina Hopkins' rooming house. Edwina and Karen make phony apologies to each and then Edwina springs the news that she knows Karen was much more than a model for Talbot Huddleston. Melinda asks Dorian to reassign Jenny out of Peter's pediatric service. Pat makes a television plea for anyone having information about Marco's murder to contact her. Katrina hears the plea but disappears. Gretel Cummings, Adam's assistant, and Paul Kendall meet, and it's almost hate at first sight. A handwriting expert testifies Vicki did not write the note penned by Nikki Smith.
Greg is upset when Tina befriends Mario. Karen wonders if she should reveal "all" to save Vicki from being convicted of Marco's murder. Carla hopes to rekindle the spark of love for Ed on her birthday. Ed hits the ceiling when he discovers Jack bought Carla flowers for her birthday. Samantha plans to wear her mother's bridal gown when she weds Tony. When Jenny wants to sell their stock to buy a car, Brad has to tell Will he lost the stock gambling. Will gives him $5.000 to buy a car but suggests he get professional help. Brad, resentful, says he can control his gambling whenever he wants.

Alice and Heather made arrangements to meet with Cal Jamison since Jeff was quarantined at General Hospital because of an epidemic. Tracy and Alan fretted about Edward, who has a heart condition. Monica cried on Rick’s shoulder that Edward was the only father she’d had. Lesley told Laura she was seeing a psychologist about her sexual problems with Rick. Jeff sang Ann’s praises when she donned her nurse’s uniform to help at the hospital. Beatrice Hewitt died, and Gail feared Lee could be next. Lee is improving while the search is on, headed by Mitch, to locate the epidemic carrier. Jeremy remembered all the sick people he saw in Africa. Lesley had her first session with Kassorla’s therapy group. Susan, back from New York, was interested to see Larry Joe, Heather’s ex, staying with Alice and Heather. Monica confided to Gail that she still has feelings for Rick, while Tracy taunted Alan about Rick and Monica’s close confinement. Mitch was the hero of the day when he had the needed plasma flown into Port Charles with Tracy’s aid. Mitch tracked down Luke’s chef whom everyone believed was the epidemic carrier. Meanwhile, P.J. came down with the fever since Jeremy has been staying with the Taylors. Lesley used her therapy experience in dealing with Laura but was haunted about Rick and Monica. Susan got Larry Joe drunk and learned about Heather and Jeff’s past. Monica feared facing Alan with her reawakened feelings for Rick. Gary’s book draft was accepted and Tracy convinced him to write promotional material for Mitch which irked Gina. Jeff and Anne became chummier while Susan taunted Jeff about Larry Joe and Heather. Anne suspected Jeremy was the epidemic carrier but he split from Diana and Peter’s house after overhearing that his grandmother had died. Steve came down with Lasa fever but refused treatment. Audrey pondered telling Jeff that Steve is his father. Mitch and Tracy searched for Jeremy who’s holed up in a museum. Luke scared Cal off when he came in person to get more money from Bobbie who lamented the death of her friend Chris from the fever. Monica realized the possible end to the epidemic meant leaving Rick and facing Alan. Lesley continued her therapy with Kassorla. Audrey told Jeff that Steve is his father, just as Steve’s condition improved. Cal was wounded by Wallace’s hitman, Delancey, who later died. Cal held Bobbie hostage while she treated his wound. The epidemic was halted when Mitch found Jeremy who was treated to rid his system of the virus. As the quarantine was lifted, Rick and Monica realized they are tempted by each other. Laura confessed to Lesley that she had remembered pushing David during Les’ trial, but had kept quiet. Laura now fears that Les hates her. Jeff blamed Audrey for revealing the truth about his mother’s affair with Steve.

No one knows but it appears Jeremy is the carrier of lassa fever. With Rick quarantined at the hospital, Lesley decides to start group therapy. Heather's ex-husband, Larry Joe, arrives in Glenville where Heather and her mother are staying while Jeff is involved in the epidemic crisis. Bobbie's brother Luke comes down with fever. Trying to get back in good graces at the hospital, Bobbie volunteers for crisis duty and asks to work with Lesley in the clinic. Frank Wallace orders a hitman to get Cal Jamison.
The fever epidemic continues to spread. Hoping to learn more about Heather's first marriage, Susan befriends Larry Joe. At a group therapy session, Lesley learns it's all right if she doesn't always love Laura. P.J. is showing fever symptoms. Luke is fearful when one of his workers at the disco comes down with epidemic-like symptoms. Returning from New York, Gary agrees to help Tracy write speeches for Mitch. Luke agrees to give Bobbie the $300 Cal Jamison is demanding. Jeff still thinks Heather can have more children. Jeff and Anne are growing close while staying at the hospital to help fight the epidemic.
Falling victim to lassa fever, Steve refuses to have plasma until everyone else does. Chris Jergens, Bobbie's friend and an orderly at the hospital, dies from the fever. Annie realizes Jeremy is the probable carrier — but it may be too late. Overhearing his grandmother Beatrice Hewitt has died, Jeremy runs away. Cal Jamison warns Heather he's going to call Peter and Diana to tell them he has information about their adopted son P.J. Cal contacts Diana but refuses to say what exactly he wants. When Cal shows up at Bobbie's to collect $300, Luke chases him away. Laura admits to Scotty she remembered long before Lesley took the stand that she, and not Lesley, was responsible for David Hamilton's death.
Fearing Steve is about to die from lassa fever, Audrey tells Jeff that Steve – not Lars Weber - is his natural father. A resentful Jeff recalls a childhood where he never felt a part of his family and suspects Lars may have known the truth even though Audrey assures him he did not. Steve's fever breaks and Audrey thinks he'll never forgive her for telling Jeff the truth about his parentage. Lesley is horrified to learn how long Laura withheld the information before admitting to Peter that it was she, and not Lesley, who killed David Hamilton. Suffering a minor gunshot wound in the shoulder Cal Jamison takes refuge at Bobbie's!

Margo cried on Miles’ shoulder about her lonely life, and Nicole was upset to find Margo and Miles together. Elliot began drinking heavily. April continued reviewing her childhood, and Miles and Draper learned April felt her troubles were linked to her childhood home. Nicole suggested she and Miles cool their relationship. Diana insisted on helping Mike with after hours office chores. Wade’s porn theater burned. Winter began working for Margo. Nancy was disturbed that Diana is working for Mike, who comforts Diana’s nightmares as though she were his own daughter. Logan was upset that Raven turned over the care of Jamey to a nurse. Margo hoped to break up Miles and Nicole by showing him the tape of Nicole and Wade but Miles suspected Nicole had been drugged. Nicole gleefully accepted Miles’ marriage proposal. April told Draper, Nicole, and Miles that her mother was coming for her and Margo later arrived at the house. Tank confessed his love for Winter who learned Logan and Raven had split. Raven decided to see what Wade was holding over Logan’s head. Wade was found dead after blackmailing Raven about Logan and after blackmailing Margo about her past, which she revealed to April, who is Margo’s child. Margo had given April to the Cavanaughs as a substitute for their dead child, also named April, which explained April’s tombstone. Winter and Tank also had sworn revenge on Wade for his dirty deeds against Winter. Nicole and Miles learned that she had been set up in Chicago by Wade to make it look like hanky-panky. Elliott was arrested for being drunk and disorderly, but was bailed out by Mike at Diana’s urging. Draper blamed Margo for allowing April to think she was mentally unbalanced all these months. Margo took a gun and headed for Wade’s.

Feeling Miles not serious about marriage since a date hasn't been set, Nicole calls off their engagement.
Wade has a tape of Logan making a deal with him about Winter's porno film and is blackmailing him with it. Tank turns out to be the arsonist. April continues to be on the run. Deborah begins an investigation of a new murder case. Raven fears Logan is still carrying the torch for Winter.
Learning she has been vindicated in Denise's murder, April returns home. She insists to everyone her mother didn't commit suicide because she has seen her mother, and had a premonition that her mother will come to visit that night. April is jolted when Margo appears on her doorstep and confesses she is her natural mother. Margo admits she is April's real mother, after giving the child up for adoption at age 17.
