Devon felt guilty and shortened her visit with Adrian when Wally admitted his love after they spent a night in a hotel. Chris grew restless with the Martins and was angry when Jeff considered buying a house without consulting her. Donna and Estelle retrieved Maggie’s inheritance. Billy Clyde pretended he didn’t know about the loot and insisted he and Estelle marry immediately. Eddie insisted that Kelly move in with him. Donna decided to fight for her marriage after Phil suggested Chuck and Tara and still in love. Erica was in seventh heaven after accepting Tom’s marriage proposal. Unknown to Estelle, Benny had a motorcycle accident while on his way to persuade her to drop Billy Clyde. Phoebe conspired to keep Benny’s messages from Estelle, who reluctantly married Billy Clyde. Wally decided to take a summer job in Pine Valley to be near Devon. Erica agreed to sell her house to Phil and consulted Father Tierney about the annulment of her marriage to Jeff. Carolyn became paranoid after Frank’s fertility tests came back positive. Eddie considered ways to take over the management of the Chateau. Erica deceived Tom and didn’t tell him that she had run into a brick wall trying to get an annulment from Jeff. Edna played up to a recuperating Benny while Estelle and Billy Clyde honeymooned. Phil insisted that he join Tara and Chuck at Charlie’s hearing. The jig was up for Phoebe when Charles discovered she could walk. Tad’s adoption was finalized. Myrtle encouraged Ellen and Mark’s relationship. Claudette was suspicious of Eddie’s interest in the club’s financial affairs. Phil was tossed out of Charlie’s hearing after coming to blows with Chuck. Charlie was placed on probation. Everyone chuckled that Phoebe’s wheelchair cover was blown but Brook pleaded with Benny to return to Phoebe after he’d resigned. Devon turned cold at Wally’s suggestion of marriage. Billy Clyde put the money screws to Estelle while they honeymooned. Ruth feared that Phil wants to die in the line of duty. Eddie plotted to take over Claudette’s job.

Monica and Alan were married. Tracy was determined to keep Monica from having a child because Tracy’s son, Ned, is next in line for a Quartermaine inheritance. Lesley drilled Laura about what to say on the witness stand. Susan wrangled time alone with Peter. Laura began remembering the murder night. Tracy received a loan from her father but wouldn’t reveal why she needs it. Lesley was indicted and took a leave of absence from the hospital. Lee feel off the wagon after Howard asked him to assist in Lesley’s case. As Gail and Monica’s relationship improved, Gail’s dislike and distrust of Tracy increased. Laura finally accepted Scotty’s friendship, while Scotty and Bobbie drifted apart. Diana approved of Gary as P.J.’s pediatrician, while Peter began feeling more distant from Diana. Diana experienced vision problems and realized that something is going on between Susan and Peter. Alan warned Tracy to steer clear of Rick after she took an interest in him. Laura began remembering David’s murder night. Dan warned Jessie not to overwork. David’s neighbor told police she’d seen Les and David together on several occasions. Laura admitted in a session with Peter that she’d had an affair with an older man. Gail, Scotty, and Bobbie located a drunken Lee in a motel room. Alan and Monica were jealous of each other’s respective memories of Grace Dobson and Rick. Mark and Katy returned as a man and wife, but Mark was called to Acapulco for surgery. Diana warned Susan to stay away from Peter. Rick caught on that Laura saw David the night he died. Steve worried that Jeff would fail his exams because of Heather while Heather worried that Jeff would learn from Susan about Heather’s New York lawyer connection.

Gus keeled over after catching Denise trying to poison Miles. April insisted she has returned from the dead and is having premonitions of Denise’s plot. Tony was riled when Deborah accepted a friendship ring from Raney. Miles and Nicole were reunited. Draper feared April is becoming unhinged. Denise led witnesses to believe that Miles is threatening her. Steve and Deborah reconciled. Logan romanced Winter and found evidence that Chip was responsible for attacks on Mike, Jackson, and Logan. Gus suffered a massive stroke and was unable to blow the whistle on Denise. April had a vision of Denise killing Miles. She confronted Denise, rushed out to get help after realizing that Denise was dying, but was in a car accident. Miles and Draper arrived to find Denise dead and a syringe at her side with April’s fingerprints on it. Winter and Logan became engaged. Tony severed business with Raney. As a trap to lure Mike in for the kill, Raney anonymously filtered information to Mike on Tony’s crime activities. April was incriminated in Denise’s death although April insisted it was suicide. Raven tried to break up Winter and Logan’s engagement. Deborah found clues that linked Tony to the Monticello Uniform Co.
