All My Children

After Chris was released, she married Jeff in a private ceremony, which miffed some of the family who weren’t invited. Devon pretended to be unhurt after learning about Brooke and Danny and invited her Yale friend Wally to visit. Ray’s parental rights to Tad were taken away and Joe and Ruth finalized adoption plans with Paul. Charlie (Little Phil) pitted Phil against Chuck by stealing Mona’s hub caps then pleading with Tara not to tell Phil. It was touch and go for Nancy’s pregnancy. She experienced pain after a fight with Caroline, who thinks Nancy is using her illness to snare Frank. Eddie pressured Claudette to promote Kelly’s act at the Chateau. Phil investigated a car fire that Sammy set, and found Charlie’s watch near the car. Erica criticized Paul for seeing Ellen in public, and said she was concerned for Mark. Edna recognized Kelly as a one-time coworker when Kelly made a plea for her mother’s whereabouts on television. Donna set up a blind date between Benny and Estelle. Devon considered going to St. Louis with Wally in order to visit her father. Myrtle decided to remain in Pine Valley, much to the disappointment of Phoebe and Claudette. Tom showed an interest in hiring Kelly to sing at the Goal Post. Eddie went behind Claudette’s back and arranged for Kelly’s singing engagement to be extended, then he was hospitalized. Maggie was hit by a car and is critical after Billy Clyde refused to escort her safely across the street. Sammy told Phil that Charlie was responsible for the theft and car fire. Devon arranged to turn her St. Louis trip with Wally into an overnight motel stop. Ellen agreed that she wouldn’t keep her meetings with Paul a secret from Mark. Kelly ordered Myrtle to stop interfering in her life. On her deathbed, Maggie told Estelle where to find the $20,000 Maggie left her. But Billy had bugged the conversation and rushed to retrieve the loot. Phil filed a police report about Charlie and Sammy despite Tara’s threats that their marriage would be kaput if he did. Eddie refused to have a gall bladder operation. Erica began instruction in Catholicism as another ploy to latch onto Tom. Edna was attracted to Benny. Devon got cold feet when it came time to spend a night at a motel with Wally. Phil moved in with Mel, while Chuck took to drink over the Brent situation.
