Ellen postponed her marriage to Mark because of Devon’s predicament. Chris put baby prospects on the back burner while planning to accept a San Francisco job offer to get Jeff away from his family. Erica stalled continuing religious conversion lessons and was unenthusiastic to learn Tom wants babies. Kelly hedged Eddie’s marriage plans even though he made another score for her pills. Billy Clyde wants to put Donna back on the streets. Billy Clyde gave Lettie Jean loot to lure Donna back to the street life. Mark and Ellen offered to adopt Devon’s baby. Linc warned Eddie that he is driving Kelly too hard with two jobs. Tara told Chuck they can’t see each other, but Erica planned a party and invited them as well as Charles and Phoebe, but not Donna and Mona. Donna remembered the accident, but not what lead up to it. Chris blamed Jeff’s dependency on his family when he nixed her San Francisco plans. Dan disregarded Brooke’s marriage suggestions. Erica was in the dog house with Tom when he realized she invited everyone who hates one another to dinner. The plan fell through, but Erica spied Tara and Chuck cuddling. Estelle pressured Billy Clyde to lay off Donna, while Chuck ordered Phoebe not to scheme with Billy Clyde. Paul was appalled at Ellen and Mark’s adoption proposal. Jeff advised Caroline not to tell Frank about Carl’s paternity. Phil and Tara dated, while Ruth forced Joe to admit that Tara and Chuck had fallen in love again. Erica dropped hints to Phoebe about Charlie’s paternity. Kelly insisted to Eddie she’ll move in with Myrtle, who bought Erica’s former house. Jeff’s San Francisco trip with Chris was on again, as was Erica’s dinner party plans. Devon fretted that Mark agreed to adopt her baby in order to speed up a Christmas wedding with Ellen. Donna and Estelle moved in with Chuck.

When Tara turns down his request to spend the night, Phil heads for Claudette’s. Overhearing Chuck tell Frank he loves Tara, Caroline blows sky-high. Claudette is upset when Kelly plans to moonlight at another nightclub. Erica agrees to sell Myrtle her house. Receiving a San Francisco job offer, Christina plans to talk Jeff into moving with her. Following a compassionate talk with Brooke, Devon decides to marry Wally but once again changes her mind when she realizes her grandfather is aware she’s pregnant. Even though Devon says she intends to give up her baby, Wally plans to stay in Pine Valley. Billy Clyde uses Lettie Jean to try and lure Donna back on the streets. With Mel Jacobi having reconciled with his wife, Phil must find another place to stay and considers Claudette's. Christina does not plan to tell Jeff about her San Francisco job offer until they are there. Jeff discovers he cannot get away from Pine Valley until after the first of the year. Phoebe agrees to attend Erica's dinner party if she invites Charles, Chuck and Tara. Mark and Ellen consider marrying and adopting Devon's child. Learning from Benny that his grandmother is paying Billy Clyde to get Donna back on the streets, Chuck tells Phoebe to stay out of his life. Erica lets Ruth know she saw Chuck's car at Tara's. Everyone but Devon's grandfather thinks Mark and Ellen's plan to wed and adopt Wally and Devon's baby is perfect. When Phil accuses Erica of pushing Chuck and Tara together at a dinner, Tom thinks he may be right and accuses Erica of being devious. Donna begins to realize she has lost her memory. Edna offers to let Donna stay with her instead of on Locust Street. Brooke asks Dan to marry her. Myrtle suggests Kelly move in with her, but Eddie, for the $50.000 promised him by Phoebe, is trying to talk Kelly into marriage. Suspecting Mark only agreed to raise her child so Ellen would marry him, Devon has second thoughts about letting them adopt her child. Ruth learns that Chuck and Tara are in love again. Erica almost lets it slip to Phoebe that Charlie’s true father is Phil – not Chuck. Discovering Billy Clyde paid Letty Jean to get Donna back on stroll, Estelle heads for Chuck’s with Donna. Benny asks Estelle to run away with him. Chuck admits to Charles that he and Tara love each other. Jeff arranges to take vacation in San Francisco with Chris, not realizing that’s where she wants him to move anyway. Erica hopes to get national magazine to do a story on her and Tom.

Ed was jealous when Carla went on a business trip with Jack. Samantha was scarred when the bandages were removed but Tony insisted he loved her. Talbot warned Marco to lay off Tina and Greg. Marco schemed to expose Karen’s past with Talbot after Larry was promoted to chief-of-staff. Brad bristled that his new job with Adam required Gretel’s supervision. Lynn couldn’t play her new piano. Karen freaked that her old “Johns” Talbot and Dennis would expose her to Larry. Viki told Karen about her split personality phase. Tina decided not to be Marco’s model. Jack kissed Carla, but she resisted and returned to Ed. Adam had a “spell” while dancing with Pat. Dorian declined spending the night with Paul. Brad invested heavily in one of Adam’s financial interests. Karen told Will about Talbot’s accidental hit-and-run “murder” of Brian. Tina received threatening letters written in a childish script. Viki remembered writing similar letters during her split personality days as Niki. Carla transferred to Larry’s office to resist Jack’s temptations. Anna learned that Gwen thinks Jim is a handsome hunk. Lynn informed Peter she’s going to study piano with Philadelphia teacher Bruno Weston. Greg blamed Talbot for not caring about Mrs. Huddleston hitting the bottle. Pat and Adam’s courtship bloomed. Tina recognized Viki’s voice during an anonymous phone call, warning Tina to get out of town. Joe and Vinnie found an apartment rented to Niki Smith. Brad lost his and Jenny’s money on the stock speculation and Adam almost fired him. Ed spotted Carla and Jack holding hands. Adam promised to give Edwina a job. Tony insisted he loved Samantha, who must undergo plastic surgery operations.

Ed and Carla bicker over her intention to attend a medical seminar in the Virgin Islands with Jack Scott. Brad plans to have Adam Brewster hire him, and then take his assistant, Gretel Cummings's job. Samantha is horrified to see herself without bandages. Larry is named chief of staff. At cocktail party in honor of Larry's appointment, Karen runs into a customer from call girl days. Gwen is interested in Jim. In St. Thomas, Jack comes on to Carla. In St. Thomas, Jack comes on to Carla who almost succumbs but rebuffs him. Admitting she is interested in Jim, Gwen asks Dorian what her chances are. Dorian assures her Anna is a fighter. Realizing he cares about Tina, Marco drops plans to make it look like she posed for porno pictures but still plans to get even with Viki. Edwina fears personality clash between herself and Joe will cost her job at Banner. Overhearing Adam mention a good stock to buy, Brad decides to sink the $10.000 he gave Jenny for sale of health club into the securities. So she can keep her distance from Jack, Carla wants to go to work for Larry. Samantha is upset because she has to wait for skin graft. Tina receives a necklace from Marco as well as two anonymous notes telling her to get out of Llanview. Viki fears handwriting on notes is same as used by her other self Niki when she was suffering from multiple personalities. Tony sees Samantha but refrains from proposing marriage. Gwen, Richard's mother, feigning illness, puts on seductive nightgown and asks Jim to make house call. Katrina returns to Marco's stable when she discovers her boyfriend Dennis O'Riordan took Edwina to Larry's chief of staff party instead of her. Adam and Pat start their relationship anew. Vinnie and Joe fear Niki - Viki's dark personality - has reappeared. Upset when Tina tells him she can't keep the necklace, Marco silently vows to get even blaming Viki for the rejection. Pat turns down Adam's invitation to bed. Upset by menial assignment Joe gives her, Edwina asks Adam for a job. When Adam learns Brad invested and lost on stock tip he overheard in office, Adam considers firing him. Ed and Carla realize she is attracted to Jack. Melinda hopes renowned piano teacher Bruno Westheim will take her as a student and Dorian considers a scheme to make sure he will but Peter vetoes it.

Logan accepted Winter’s reasons for being an ex-porno queen but his new job as district attorney was jeopardized. Calvin tried to infiltrate the children of the earth by asking Star Wilson for a date, but she refused. Another dead earth child was identified as Caroline Ewing. Wade offered to help Margo win Miles. Deborah got fed up with Bill raking her over the coals about Ace’s alibi, turned in her badge, and joined the Children of the Earth. April began her jail sentence but warned Draper she had a vision of his death in a car accident. Wade hired Tank Jarvis, one of his and Winter’s former shady pals. Winter slept with Wade to save Logan’s job but Tank secretly filmed the action. Cody warned Joanie that if she left the children again, Elliot would deliver a “killing prayer” for her. April’s cellmates Marie and Daisy harassed her. Margo and Nicole drew fire over Miles. Calvin and Steve failed to halt Deborah’s initiation into the children. April was confined to solitary after causing disturbances about her visions of Draper’s death. Draper was reported killed in a car accident. Howard Selkirk asked Mike to help get his daughter, Diana, away from the children. Wade filmed exchanging “Lacy Lady” for Logan’s promise to help get Wade’s porno theater location approved.

April's sentencing is postponed due to judge's illness. Logan is upset because he was able to convic April. Winter is sorry she didn't tell Logan about her porno days. Calvin and Steve are curious about the macrobiotic diet which Children of the Earth members seem to be on. Deborah gets angry when Steve refers to her as a worse crook than her father. Logan is named district attorney. Wade tells Logan that unless he allows his porno theater to stay open, he will publicize Winter's film. April begins serving her prison term. Just as another body is fished from the river, Deborah joins Children of the Earth movement. Nicole begins to wonder if Margo is more interested in Miles than in her. Torn between his desire to protect Winter from her porno film past and his duty to his office, Logan ponders what to do about Wade. Fearing Logan may lose his position as district attorney, Winter goes to bed with Wade. In prison, April dreams Draper is killed in car crash. At the same time, Draper considers holding a seance to conjure up Denise and learn what really happened night she died. Nicole is upset because Margo feigns interest in April in order to get closer to Miles. Soon after, Deborah returns to Children of Earth group, another member, a youth this time, is found drowned in Monticello. Draper tells Logan he forgives him for prosecuting April. April's recurring nightmare that Draper will die in crash seems to come true when police drag a body identified as Draper from a wrecked car. Unaware that Logan has found a loophole to keep Wade's X-rated motion picture house open, Winter gives in to Wade's demands for sex in order to keep him from blackmailing Logan. Margo is doing a feature on Eliot Dorn and the Children of the Earth movement.

Ryan's Hope

Michael slept with Rae, then slept with Kim. Mother and daughter don't realize they're after the same man. Roger and Frank asked ace attorney Claudius Church to handle Jill's case, even though she insisted on being her own defense lawyer. Dee confessed to her priest that it was she, not Faith, who ran over Barry. Michael and Kim plotted to further discredit the leading lady. Dee was jealous of Frank and Faith. Delia envisioned reuniting with Frank and scared Faith with a "clairvoyant prediction" into cancelling a trip with Frank. Barry took a tumble and broke his leg again. Jill accepted Claudius as her lawyer and admitted she thought Barry gave Ken the fatal injection and intended to pin the deed on her. Seneca confronted Kim about playing footsie with producer Elliot in order to get Connie’s role. Kim got the leading role and Connie was fired after Kim sent the leading man a ham and forged Connie's name. Rae overheard Michael and Kim flirting, but Michael assured Rae it meant nothing. Jack fumed when Rose temporarily lost Ryan in a department store. Claudius ignored Jill's pleas that he not be ruthless in getting evidence against Barry. Bobby was left out in the cold by Faith because of Frank.

Frank assured Faith that Bob's accusation of Frank using Faith to get even with Jill isn't true. Kim played "love shuffleboard" with Michael, Elliot and Seneca. But Seneca knocked Elliot out when he found him trying to seduce Kim. Matt agreed with Jack that Rose doesn't know her own mind. Barry resisted Claudius's grilling, while Jill raged that Claudius publicized photos of Barry at Ken's gravesite. Dee worked overtime to break up Frank and Faith. Jill fired Claudius when he implied in court that Barry’s guilty of Ken’s death. After becoming a box-office draw because of publicity about Seneca’s slugging Elliot, Kim went with Michael to Rae’s houseboat for some illicit loving. Delia goaded Faith into admitting to a shocked Maeve that she and Frank are in love. Rose promised Jack she’d try to play a loving mama role for Ryan’s benefit. The judge delayed Jill’s trial to allow a new defense tactic.

Nancy agreed to marry Frank. Cliff couldn’t persuade Sybil to have an abortion, so he told Nina the truth. After a model tipped off Erica that Brandon’s a ladykiller, Brandon insisted to Erica that he never mixes business with pleasure. Ruth protested Tara’s growing attachment to Jim. Joe comforted Leora when Kurt refused to see a counselor as he had promised. Suzanne wasn’t impressed that Tad smokes dope. Jerry enticed Tad to sell drugs to classmates. Wally shunned Devon, claiming he has to cram for school. Brandon arranged for Erica to be interviewed by Dick Cavett. Mark and Ellen consummated their marriage. Myrtle saved Bonnie from downing a bottle of bleach while Devon was passed out from booze. Wally fumed and admitted he knows about Devon's affair with Sean. Palmer urged Nina to get an annulment and offered Sybil big bucks to carry her baby full term as marriage bait for Cliff. Anne insisted she's filing for divorce, now that Paul won the election, but he insisted he wanted to continue the marriage. Erica put down Pine Valley residents, including Mona, on the Cavett show. Brandon made a play for Erica. Joe advised Ruth to seek professional therapy. Carrie learned Kurt lied about going to a counseling session. Chuck accused Donna of messing around with Palmer. Devon agreed Wally should seek a divorce, but Betsy advised him to stick to Devon. Carrie was almost caught by cops during a drug run for Jerry, who refused to let her out of the gang. Kurt twisted his ankle while beating Leora for having dinner with Joe. Chuck was green that Tara is falling for Jim. Palmer convinced Donna to continue living at his mansion. Tad warned Charlie to keep his trap shut after Charlie found dope in Tad's room. Langley planned to use marked cards while gambling to get back Phoebe's money. Tara and Joe agreed that Ruth's behavior is getting psychotic. Leora leaned on Joe for comfort. Erica was frantic that she'll spend Thanksgiving alone because Brandon and Mona are otherwise occupied. Benny promised to stand by Estelle after she announced her pregnancy. Erica invited herself to Frank and Nancy's Thanksgiving Day wedding. Wally and Devon reconciled, but Devon headed for the liquor store after Betsy was hired to babysit Bonnie. Langley returned Phoebe's money from his gambling winnings. Palmer snooped to learn the identity of Daisy's lover. Cliff refused to sign divorce papers. Kurt went after Leora with a poker after she learned he lied about his psychiatric consultations. Mona assured Sybil that she'd receive maternity leave benefits. Sean and Daisy arranged an "accidental" public rendezvous, although Myra warned Daisy that Palmer would use the affair to get Nina away from Daisy. Ruth objected to Jim escorting Tara to Frank's wedding. Joe and Carrie kept Kurt away from Leora, who was hospitalized after his poker attack on her. Wally learned that Devon’s been hitting the bottle. Under hypnosis, Estelle remembered that Billy raped her during the kidnapping at the cemetery. Phoebe encouraged Brooke to go full speed ahead with Tom, who proposed marriage. Kurt spread rumours about Joe and Leora to Ruth. Daisy used Nina as an excuse to date Sean secretly so that Palmer won’t find out. Cliff attempted a reconciliation with Nina after he rejected Sybil’s urgings to throw in the towel. Anne tended a flu-stricken Paul. Carrie told Leora that Kurt probably killed Carrie’s mother.

Alice and Diana were nervous when Heather asked Jeff to bring Steven Lars to the sanitarium. Heather plotted with her roommate Sara to make an escape. Jeff insisted that a new doctor be put on Heather's case and that Tony Perelli be fired. Heather insisted to Jeff and Tony that she can't remember the past, but she confided to Sarah that she knows where Stephen Lars is. Heather claimed that Tony made a pass at her in order to get him off her case. Heather was nervous that Tony was getting too close to learning that Sarah is helping Heather's escape. Howard offered to help Susan buy the disco from Frank. Monica and Alexandria mixed like oil and water. Hutch became friendly with Diana and insisted he must tell Luke he didn’t intend to kill him. The hospital board unanimously reinstated Steve after Edward matched the funds acquired through Frank’s syndicate dealings. Lesley and Rick got closer while dealing with Laura’s turmoils. Anne argued with Jeff when he dined with Diana. Heather rehearsed acting like her nurse lookalike and discovered where the nurse keeps an extra car key. Monica fumed that Alan financed Susan's purchase of the disco. Edward promised Alexandria to keep mum about her secret crate that's hidden in the basement, if she won't tell Lila that his heart is acting up again. Another doctor took over Heather’s case from Tony. Monica confided to Gail she'd approve of Susan and Alan as a love team so that Monica would have grist for the divorce mill. Luke had a steamy date with Alexandria, who also attracted Howard's attentions. Anne and Jeff exchanged their own marriage vows so they could consummate their love, but they haven't "done it" yet. Lesley invited Rick to Thanksgiving dinner. Heather donned her disguise and headed for the nurse's car. After one botched escape attempt, Heather tried another ploy so she can see what's going on in Jeff’s bedroom. Rick refused to let Monica get close to him at the clinic and instead invited Lesley to work with him. He was also jealous of Jim's attention to Lesley. Everyone trooped to Lesley's for Thanksgiving but Monica warned Lesley that Rick could never be her man again. Heather managed to sneak in and out of the hospital to keep tabs on Jeff and P.J. The staff detected her absence and tipped off Anne and Jeff. Monica admitted she was out for blood after learning Rick dined with Rose. Joe confessed to Bobbie that he’s unsure of his feelings for Rose after he displayed a jealous streak over the same dining incident. Diana got hysterical when she heard Heather had escaped. Howard cautioned Diana against seeking a husband merely to keep P.J.
