All My Children
David pressured Ruth to ask Joe for a divorce. She chickened out when baby Elizabeth's test results came in. Anne's baby appears to have reflex retardation and may be blind. Erica and Nick got it on again. Mona left for Minneapolis to check out Kitty's "mother." Danny grew more attracted to Brooke. Mona discovered that Mrs. Carpenter is Myrtle Lum, but she promised not to tell Kitty. Myrtle agreed to get out of Kitty's life within a month. Ann refused to accept Elizabeth's retardation. Benny moved in to the Tyler pool house. Joe learned David and Ruth may leave town. Mona lied and identified Mrs. Carpenter as the real McCoy -- for Kitty's sake. Ruth was ready to leave with David when Joe was admitted to the hospital for acute appendicitis. Chuck became Donna's legal guardian. Caroline advised Frank to reconcile with Nancy. David operated on Joe, then realized Ruth still loves Joe. Phoebe received her divorce papers. Tara told Phil she was ready to marry him. Erica protested, but Nick carried her off to bed.

Monica faked illness to get out of a trip with Jeff to Florida, then connived to seduce Rick in a motel. Terri's meeting with Ellen ended in the latter's hysterical outburst. Lucille called Audrey to tell her Al had a heart attack. Terri and Mark reconciled after arguing about his past with Mary Ellen, but then learned she had run away and been hit by a car. Jeff accused Monica of seducing Rick in her motel room. Lesley learned she is pregnant. Peter and Diana's adoption plans were stymied when the mother decided to keep the baby. Rick fell for Monica's sob story -- right into her arms. Lesley considered abortion when she learned the details of Cam's liaison with his secretary. Jeff was performing with Heather when he should have been performing surgery. Rick told Monica it was all over because Jeff still was in love with her. Steve and Audrey plan to wed within a month, but jail-bound Tom Baldwin asked a mysterious woman to spy on them and little Tommy. Lesley insisted on having an abortion after recurring nightmares.

Donna came to terms with Tara and planned to start a family of her own. Estelle remembered that Ty had Donna’s tubes tied while Donna was still a prostitute, but Donna was told it was an appendectomy. Erica taunted Nick about Tom, but Nick played the same game with Claudette Montgomery, who returned to town. David learned his Mexican divorce isn’t legal, and he’s still married to Edna. He refused to believe that Dottie is his daughter even though she has epilepsy, which Edna insists was inherited from David’s father. Phoebe threatened to expose Charles and Mona’s affair to the hospital board and have him fired unless he dropped the divorce action. Benny admitted his part in Phoebe’s schemes. Phoebe blew her cool after being arrested for drunk and “unlicensed” driving. She told reporters that Charles’ affair with Mona was responsible. Nick dated Ellen and Claudette, while Erica did a slow burn. David accepted Dottie as his child, and Christina saved her during an epilepsy attack. Edna refused to give David and Christina custody. Phoebe fired Benny, who is attracted to Claudette, after he refused to perjure himself in court. Jeff warned David to keep Christina out of his affairs with Edna. Charles gave in to Phoebe and dropped the divorce action. Benny squirmed his way back into Phoebe’s employ, then celebrated with Brooke. Urged by Chris, David agreed for Dottie’s sake to maintain a marriage in name only with Edna. Claudette made a pass at Paul, then turned her attentions to Linc. Devon realized Brooke doesn’t care for Danny the way he cares for her. Billy Clyde told Estelle he can blackmail Donna to keep it a secret from Chuck that her tubes were tied. Ruth was encouraged that she and Joe could legally adopt Tad once they find his father, Ray Gardner. Joe went to Texarkanna in pursuit of Ray. Claudette and Erica sharpened their claws. Claudette won the first round by being hired as Nick’s new hostess. Donna refused to believe she wasn’t pregnant. Mark and Ellen were encouraged that Devon’s interest in Danny would take the pressure off their own relationship.

Rick and Lesley were married. Mark decided to divorce Mary Ellen who escaped from the sanitarium. Kennicott agreed to drop charges against Gina, Adam, and the hospital. Jeff learned that Lisa may be suffering from a rare ailment called Breachman’s disease. Monica tried to get on Quartermaine’s good side. Lesley and Rick decided to postpone their wedding at the last minute. She’s upset about Laura’s involvement with Scotty and about Rick’s offer to David to recover at the Webber house. Mary Ellen was killed in a car crash. Monica rebuffed Alan’s rough-and-tumble advance but was jealous that he’s dating Dorry. Steve worried that Diana isn’t really adjusting to Martha’s death. David made an effort to walk, but Rick was reluctant to dash his hopes by telling him he may never golf professionally again. Mark’s new wealthy patient is Lamont Corbin, whose wife, Katie, is an old school chum of Mark’s. Jeff expressed his concern to Steve after Lisa disappeared from the hospital. Heather was given a hype by a guy who promised her Hollywood stardom. Laura turned to Monica for advice on getting birth control pills. Lt. Sage came to a dead end trying to locate Lisa. A girl claiming to be her twin sister, Lana, arrived at the hospital, surprising Jeff. At Mrs. Hadley’s urging, Heather consulted a lawyer about the Taylors adopting and paying for Steven Lars. Mark resented Katie not telling Lamont about his grave condition. Scotty was warned to cool it with Laura, but they consummated their love on the sly.

Devon confessed to Ellen that she became pregnant by Wally to spite Dan and Brooke. Mona went to Chicago to care for Nick who has hepatitis. Carolyn was edgy when Nancy and her baby returned. Ruth advised Phil to reconcile with Tara before Chuck had time to grow closer to her during Donna’s amnesia. Phil swore he’d kill Chuck if he was having an affair with Tara. Linc overheard Kelly break down in front of Myrtle about Kelly’s pill habit. Tom comforted Erica about her neuroses regarding her father. Benny insisted he was interested in Lettie Jean when Billy Clyde found Benny and Estelle together. Adrian wants Devon to get an abortion. Dr. Polk couldn’t shake Donna’s memory of her marriage to Chuck, and Phoebe urged Chuck to have her institutionalized while pursuing Tara. Kelly advised Myrtle, who dated Harlan, to continue living at Linc’s. Erica and Tom returned from their honeymoon but no one would tell Erica that Mona’s in Chicago with Nick. Devon decided to take Adrian’s abortion advice, but Wally insisted that Father Tierney agreed to marry them. Billy Clyde conned more money out of Estelle after gambling away previous loot. Phil and Chuck ordered Charlie to continue consulting his probation officer. Chris continued complaining that Kate compares Chris to Mary, Jeff’s previous wife. Tara gave Phil the cold shoulder. He turned to warm-bodied Claudette, who admitted her own romantic turmoil over Linc. Dan learned from Mark that Brooke’s suspicion about Devon being pregnant is on target. Erica lied to Tom about feeding Phoebe insinuations about Mona and Charles after Erica was miffed that Mona’s tending Nick. Kelly ran out of pills and Eddie suggested she lie to a doctor because his street suppliers won’t come through. Joe didn’t tell Ruth that he knows about Chuck and Tara. Kelly searched for a way to get the drugs she thought she needed. Devon thought everything was lost when Mark admitted that he’d told Brooke she was pregnant. Frank went to see Nancy and the baby while Caroline tried to suppress her jealousy. Billy Clyde decided Phoebe should foot the bill if he allowed Donna to live with him and Estelle. Erica confronted Mona at the airport about her trip to see Nick. Jeff and Chris moved into an apartment. Joe told Chuck to stay away from Tara. Chuck agreed to give Billy Clyde money for Donna while she lived with Billy Clyde and Estelle. Billy Clyde extorted money from Phoebe with a promise to see that Donna returns to her old ways. Devon told Wally she now wants to give up the baby for adoption. Eddie promised to acquire pills for Kelly if she agreed to be his bride. Nancy told her Aunt Bessie that Frank is little Carl’s father. Tom realized the honeymoon is over because of Erica’s frustrations over Nick. Phil was encouraged when Tara accepted a date, but Charlie interfered.

One Life To Live, by Jon Michael Reed
Tony blamed himself when Pam died before surgery and Samantha is critical with burns. Brad comforted Will. Jenny and Brad were reunited during the ordeal. Marco had Tina’s photographed head put on a nude body to get even with Viki. Adam admitted to Gretel that he feels challenged by Pat’s lack of interest in him. Lynn huffed when she found Peter innocently comforting Jenny. Jack felt responsible when a patient died while he snoozed briefly. While Becky went to Santo Domingo for a divorce, Gwendolyn arranged for Richard’s former girlfriend, Daphne Fielding, to tempt Richard. Pat was furious that Adam didn’t arrive for a scheduled on-air interview. Carla realized she’s attracted to Jack, but Ed was suspicious of Carla’s repeated insistence that she loathes Jack. Dorian and Paul reconciled. Samantha went into a frenzy after realizing that Pam died. Gwendolyn and Daphne arranged for returning Becky to find a bathrobe-d Daphne in Richard’s apartment, but Richard had resisted temptation. Adam courted an uninterested Pat in his hospital room where she found him after he skipped her TV show. Jack treated Adam, who insisted his illness remain a secret. Tina sidetracked Greg’s interest in her after he was suspicious of Marco setting up another photo session for her. Tony told Viki he intends to marry Samantha. Lynn and Peter argued about his working with Jenny. Adam swore revenge on Pat after Richard’s newspaper story on his illness ruined a company merger. Pat had promised not to release Adam’s story. Becky and Richard were married after Gwendolyn’s scheme to break them up was foiled. Adam told Gretel he was going to get control of Lord Enterprises. Dorian found herself being kissed after she told Paul she cared for him. Gwen made a beeline for Jim. She denied being Kiki Bourbon, one of Ina’s WW II “Pearls of the Pacific” entertainers. Dorian and Viki declined Adam’s offer to buy Lord Enterprises. Adam courts Pat after he learned she didn’t break his illness story, but Jack refused to destroy Adam’s records to hide his secret malady. Greg flunked trying to get Marco out of Tina’s life. Marco assured his moll, Beverly Wilkes, that they’d be in the money once the Rileys learned Tina is a porn queen. Karen’s got the willies again because of Marco. Brad asked Adam to hire him.

In Rick’s absence, Mitch decided to use Laura’s case to advance his own career. As a favor to Monica, Alan put in a good word to the board about Rick’s appointment, but Tracy taunted Monica saying the publicity about Laura and Lesley would ruin Rick’s career. Lesley couldn’t respond sexually to Rick because of her guilt for keeping Laura’s secret from him. Bobbie enjoyed Chris’ gossip about Laura’s predicament and spread the word further. Gina returned and admitted to Howard that she’s aware Gary is interested in Tracy because of the Quartermaine wealth. Steve and Jeff went to New York to check on Cal’s tips about Steven Lars. Heather fainted when she learned they saw a death certificate. Jeff investigated the funeral arrangements. The shady lawyer, Frank Wallace, who handles black-market babies, got the twins. Laura slapped Bobbie, who publicly accused Laura of being a tramp and leading David down the garden path. Mitch rushed Susan. Bobbie panicked when she realized that Scotty was easing out of their affair in favor of Laura. Tracy called Grace Dobson about plotting the end of Alan and Monica’s marriage. Diana’s bandages were removed and she regained her eyesight. Heather had another fainting spell. Laura was harassed at school by boys who called her an easy mark. She returned to her lying conniving ways with Lesley while Rick went off to a New York business meeting. Lee told a disappointed Gail that he must resolve his own problems and be alone for awhile. Heather told Jeff she was pregnant and asked that he stop trying to see Cal Jamison. Mitch let both Susan and Tracy know that his career comes before his love life. Laura warned Bobbie to stop harassing her or she’d break up Bobbie’s romance with Scotty. John Higgins was appointed by the court to chart Laura’s progress for the next six months. Tracy invited Grace Dobson to Part Charles. In a letter, Jamison told Bobbie he’s sure they have met before. Howard feared Gary shows signs of abandoning Gina once he can’t use her, just like Gary did with Lois Anderson. Gary countered that Howard has always wanted what Gary had, including Lois and now Gina. Susan let Tracy know she’s staked a claim on Mitch. Tracy arranged for a publisher friend to see Gary’s book. She was foiled from landing Mitch in her lair when her father, Edward, arrived unexpectedly. Lesley returned to hospital volunteer work until her reinstatement. Bobbie fretted that Cal would bring up her past.

Steve, Calvin, and Deborah discovered that Joanie had the same religious cult “children of the earth” tattoo as a dead girl, but Joanie denied knowing her. Logan was forced to prosecute April when Ira resigned in order to run for the congressional seat that Kevin abandoned. Raven pleaded with Logan to marry her because Kevin wants a divorce and Logan’s child won’t have a father. Bill welcomed Deborah back on the force. Miles realized that Denise injected herself with the lethal syringe in an attempt to frame Miles, not April, for murder. Mike suggested in court that Denise was a suicide and her nurse testified that Denise had been expecting Miles. Wade harassed Winter about joining his new porno ring or he’d release a Winter Austin Film Festival, thus exposing her past shame. Raven said she’d spread gossip unless Logan told Kevin he’d forced himself upon Raven. Nicole was jealous of Margo’s possessive attitude toward Miles. Elliot Dorn, the children of the earth leader, arrived and identified the dead girl as Joanne Jensen whose mother refused to believe Joanne committed suicide. Elliot began smooth talking Deborah. Margo split from Wade’s porno activities and Logan was urged by community groups to rid the neighborhood of Wade’s new theater. During April’s trial, Carol had an alibi when it was proven she had cause to murder Denise. April refused to plead guilty by reason of insanity, insisting to Draper she didn’t kill Denise. Another drowned girl was found. Frankie Gemini, a stoolie of Steve’s, also was found dead. Elliot insisted he could help Deborah with her personal problems. Margo managed to get Miles to herself by sending Nicole on endless assignments. April was found guilty. Elliot ordered his henchman, Patrick Cody, not to hound Joanie. Wade sought Winter’s help in getting the citizen’s committee off his back about the porn house. But Logan later saw a screening of “Lacy Lady” starring his fiancee. Mike underwent a dangerous cornea transplant operation. Steve and Deborah had a falling out when she refused to divulge that Ace Phillips had an alibi with his secret daughter in the Gemini murder.

Chuck was jealous of Tara's friendship with widower Jim Jefferson. Donna reprimanded Palmer for preventing Chuck from seeing her, then asked Chuck for a divorce when he refused to adopt a child. Sybil refused to accept money from Cliff for her abortion. Langley lost Phoebe's ransom money in a shady business deal. Sean rubbed it in to Erica that Tom's kicking her out, but she refused to budge without a court order. Ellen agreed with Myrtle's suggestion that Ellen marry Mark to stop gossip about Ellen and Paul. Jerry warned Carrie not to get involved with Mark. Betsy refused to dine with Frank for fear it would give Nancy ideas they're more than friends. Betsy came to the rescue when Devon passed out from booze and left Bonnie in the kitchen with the gas on. Kurt beat Leora because of an innocent dance with Sean. Leora was hospitalized, but Joe didn't buy Kurt's story that she slipped on broken glass while drunk. Estelle learned she's pregnant, and Benny, who gave her an engagement ring, isn't the father. Sybil chickened out of getting an abortion. Ellen agreed to marry Mark. Erica promised to put Brooke through hell before Erica gives up Tom. Palmer kept his vow to cut off funds to Daisy. Brooke asked Tom to take it slow in their renewed romance. Tad saw the error of his ways after Kelly lectured about her drug-abuse experiences to his classmates. Sybil lied to everyone except Sean about her abortion. Palmer kept Chuck and Donna apart before Palmer whisked her off to Haiti for her divorce. Carrie told Jerry that Kurt had beat her mother unconscious and probably arranged it to look as though she died in a car accident. Paul batted zeo with pleas to Mark and Ellen not to marry. Ruth objected to Tara dating Jim because Jim is Charlie’s conselor. Estelle refused to believe she’s pregnant, since she insists that Billy never touched her. Carrie was concerned about Leora, who urged Kurt to see a marriage counselor. Ruth questioned Tad to learn if there’s a drug abuse at his school. Brandon learned Tom is Erica’s ex-husband. Mark talked Ellen out of her last-minute doubts and they were married. Estelle refused to discuss Billy with her shrink and insisted she's having an hysterical pregnancy. Ruth apologized to Joe for neglecting him in favor of mothering Joey. Sean blabbed to Monique about Sybil's abortion lie, and Monique decided to tell Cliff the truth. Brooke put Tom on hold after Erica taunted Brooke at the wedding. Chuck called it quits in attempting to stop Donna from running off with Palmer to get a Haitian divorce. Devon fretted she won't be able to cope with Wally without Ellen around to bolster her.
